The Information and Privacy Office (IPO) has responsibility for two important functions at York University: access to information and protection of privacy, and records and information management.
Access to Information: the IPO provides public access to university records and information and protects the personal privacy of the university community in compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
Records and Information Management: The IPO assists units in managing their records and information assets effectively and efficiently in support of university activities.
