Fees for Access to Information

Persons making a request for access to information or correction of personal information are required by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) to pay fees for the activities required to process their request, as shown below.

Payment can be made by cheque or money order, payable to YORK UNIVERSITY. Cash payments for the application fee should be made in person at our office - do not send cash payment by mail.

If a person is required to pay a fee for access to a record, York University may require the person to do so before giving the person access to the record.

For further information, please see (R.R.O. 1990, Regulation 460).
